Interview with Thomas Barr Jr

What inspired you to become a writer?

I was inspired to write after reading the book Native Son by the Author Richard Wright.  His story telling ability was infectious and I decided that’s the way I would like to communicate my feelings to the world.

What genre of writing are your books and why?

I currently write in the urban fiction literary genre.  It’s a fairly new genre with lots of possibilities and growth.  I am able to write with more passion and feelings of the African-American experience in current day society.

What are the titles of your books and a brief description of each one?

My first published title is Overlords Karma:  Miami’s Urban Chronicles Volume I.  I chose to publish this work with Printhouse Books.
